First Stop Friday featuring Schedule IV
Doors will open 90 minutes after the library closes on March 1, at 7:30pm, with music beginning promptly at 8 pm.
Schedule IV’s visceral blend of dark-wave, heavy alternative and industrial rock embodies the frustration, the urgency, and the fleeting catharsis of the search for any kind of healing or shreds of tranquility in a world that’s getting all the more digital, all the more divided, all the more dreadful. The bass churns and growls, the drums are like a heavy metal march or a propulsive trance, the synth and guitars thread into celestial and half-dream/half-nightmare timbres, while the lead vocals glide in post-grunge grace across an arc of emotions, quiet, loud, lullaby, howl…
The band features Steph Strange (formerly of Strangeling and Venereal Injection), Mike Phipps (Pulse State, ex-D:Konstruct), Don Gransden (formerly of DeLIEN and Siegemachine), Joshua McAllister (formerly of function13 and DeLIEN), and Jervon Molloy (function13), Schedule IV is contemporary goth rock cut from the cracking concrete of a city that’s finding its shape again.
Schedule IV released the album In Treatment last autumn. You can sample songs from their website: https://www.schedule-iv.com/ Find more info: https://www.facebook.com/pg/scheduleiv
